Lurking in the darkest shawdows, stalking its doomed prey as twilight gathers - one hopes to never encounter firsthand the awesome and terrifying Shadow Dragon! Despite its fierce savagery, this creature is one of the most beautiful dragons in a sublime sort of way. The predominatedly charcoal coloring allows this hunter to practically dissapear as it stalks its next meal. But its head, shoulders and underwings are of the deepest indigo and an almost iridescent blue.

Those dragon pups are sure cute, but I always have to be careful when I fly by the castle nursery. All the pups try to blow sparks up my tail!

Here are some stunning closeups showing detailed facial expressions. There has been no sign of the prehistoric artist assigned to make these amazing closeup shots. Here are the surviving snapshots showing various life stages, from egg, to baby, then toddler and teen.
The shadow dragon comes with his own awesome shadow castle.
The shadow castle can only be had by winning the grand prize in Twilight Bingo.
Here, side by side, for comparison purposes are the new shadow dragon castle versus the sky dragon castle.
|Shadow Dragon Castle||Sky Dragon Castle|
The two castles look quite similar, with one being a darker version of the other. The fluffy white clouds have been darkened, and the rainbow removed. Notice however, only the shadow castle sports a ring of blue dragon claws around each castle tower. Omenously, five clusters of blue shadow dragon spines can be seen poking out of the shadowy cloud. Extreme caution advised. The sky dragon cloud is adorned with five golden stars, in the exact same spots where the spine clusters appear.
Comparative Dragon AnatomyEdit
In contrast, the two dragons have very different designs.
|Shadow Dragon||Sky Dragon|
Notice the shadow dragon has two indigo horns and no cranial crown atop a huge toothed maw. In contrast, the sky dragon has no horns but instead sports a prominent pointed cranial crest and a sharp, but toothless, birdlike beak. The shadow dragon has an almost feathery pelt, while the sky dragon sports a hairless leathery hide.
These are quite different beasts.
